Yes a big thank you to Ron Williams Maxton Engineering for all the frames and suspension which he made for me and H Dugdale Motors, without his work, friendship and dedication we would not have won as many races. Big thanks Ron

I started my racing career at Rhydymwyn Race Circuit in 1956 aged 15. The circuit was run by Wirral 100 M/C club, founded in 1947 and still going today (2023).

A fantastic club, long may it continue.

I had many wins on this circuit and it’s where it all started.
I won The New Brighton Prom 1962 500cc Championship aged 22 and returned aged 50 and won the 350cc Chamionship.

A very special thanks to Dot and Joe Nicholas who formed the fantastic Cheshire Motor Cycle Road racing Club in 1959. After my father Hector Dugdale Snr. had obtained Press Heath airfield that was transformed into Press Heath Road Racing Circuit where the Cheshire Club had great race days from 1960 to 1965. The Cheshire Road Racing Club held meetings at Oulton Park, Cadwell Park, Croft.
Dot and Joe retired in 1978 and their son-in-law Paul Marshall, Peter Welfare and Derek Huxel took over till 2008 and ran it brilliantly for 48 years.
My father was President from 1959 until he died in 1974. I took over the honour from 1974 until 2008, 28 years.
A fabulous club with super end of season dinners and riders presentation nights.

HOW I WISH WE COULD DO IT ALL AGAIN.

SPONSORS AND H. DUGDALE MOTORS

H Dugdale Motors sponsored many great riders like Frank Perris ex works Suzuki team rider.
Jack Finlay two time runner-up in the 500cc World Championship.
Don Crossely from the I.O.M. who won our first TT course MGP win for my Dad in 1948.
Allen Steele was number 2 1970 250cc MGP.
Eddie Roberts 1974 250cc MGP and 1975 500cc production TT. Eddie was the perfect build for 250cc and 125cc classes, he could have done great things.
Bernard Murrey won the 1974 350cc and 500cc MGP, thus making Dugdale Motors the first and only team to do this. Bernard was a great lad and rider but this was late in his career.
Ron Williams Maxton - Alan Dugdale - Bernard Murrey - Charlie Williams - Eddie Roberts - H Dugdale Jnr.
Start of second time sponsoring, led to a further 9 TT wins.
